Flexible Dentures

The flexible dentures are modelled to fit the curves or contours of your mouth. They easily stay in your mouth and you will not forget that you wear something called dentures. There lies the success of the flexible dentures. Just wear the dentures and forget that you are wearing such thing in your mouth. The flexible dentures are the best solution for those who are in need of the false tooth or teeth.

A flexible denture is really just a traditional denture with a flexible resin coating as the last inner coating.  It’s the flexible resin that locks into your undercuts and acts as a buffer between your gums and the hard base.  More flexibility can be added by constructing the entire denture out of this flexible material.

Another advantage to a soft denture is that the trial fitting can be used as part of the final denture, meaning that the overall production time of a soft denture is shorter than that of a hard acrylic denture.

Barbed pins extend through the base at the missing tooth positions, and the frame is encased in a resilient, flexible plastic which is molded and colored to resemble the gums of a wearer. Artificial teeth are impaled on the barbed pins. The denture is a generally horseshoe shaped structure which provides a flexible support for the artificial teeth.

A pair of denture sections have curved front and side portions cooperating to form a U-shape to fit the lower jaw of a person. Front edges of the sections are disposed adjacent each other and between two front teeth and a bottom layer of resilient material is bonded integrally to both sections.
