Eyebrow Plucking Tip: Tips on eyebrow plucking

Tips on Plucking Eyebrows:

  1. When plucking, pluck the stray hair underneath the eyebrow - not above the eyebrow.
  2. The only way to get it back is to let it grow. Then, when the hair has fully grown, go to a beauty parlour and let them shape your brows. After you have a proper shape, keep plucking the new hair daily as it grows.
  3. Keep a pair of tweezers in the bathroom and everyday, after your shower, pluck tiny hair from your eyebrows as it grows. (It is best to pluck hair after a shower because the pores are open and hair will come out more easily.)
  4. Your beautician will do it all for you, and you can follow up from there.
  5. Don't try and change the shape of your eyebrows or you will mess them up.
  6. Just keep plucking all the extra hair as you see it grow. In this manner, you can prolong your visit to the parlour.
  7. Well-threaded eyebrows definitely look neater than plucked eyebrows, so once your brows grow a little and you need to get them trimmed, go to the parlour.

Some more tips on Plucking Eyebrows:

  • Consider having your brows waxed once professionally to get exactly the shape you want.
  • You can then pluck the strays as they grow in.
  • Habitual plucking may make some hairs stop growing permanently, so pluck with caution.
  • There are tweezers on the market that are specially designed for plucking eyebrows. They cost a bit more but make the experience less painful.
  • Pluck your eyebrows when your pores are open. This is either after a shower or after you have applied a hot face cloth to your skin for a few minutes.
  • Make sure you have plenty of light in the room when you are plucking. Why tempt fate by trying this beauty trick in the dark?
  • Get a pair of tweezers that can firmly grip the hair and won't be slipping every time you start to pluck.
