Probably the most time-honored form of hair removal in the United States is shaving or depilatories. Shaving is best performed when the hair has been thoroughly hydrated, i.e. after a bath or shower. - Shave at a time when you are comfortable and not rushed.

- After you are done, apply a moisturizer to the area you have shaved (again, make sure it is not perfumed). This may help to prevent dry skin and possible ingrown hairs.
