Facial rashes often cause diagnostic confusion but a close examination of the clinical signs should help differentiate the underlying cause. Skin rashes causes redness or inflammation; Skin lesion; Rubor; Skin rash; Erythema which changes the color or texture of your skin. Often, the cause of a rash can be determined from its visible characteristics and other symptoms.

Seborrheic dermatitis is a rash that appears in patches of redness and scaling around the eyebrows, eyelids, mouth, nose, the trunk, and behind the ears. If it happens on your scalp, it is called dandruff in adults and cradle cap in infants.

Self-Care Tips for Treat Heat Rash:

  • Put corn starch in body creases (inside elbows, etc).
  • Take a bath in cool water, without soap, every couple of hours.
  • Don't use ointments and creams that can block the sweat gland pores.
  • Let your skin air-dry.
  • Apply calamine (not Caladryl) lotion to the very itchy spots.
  • Stay in a cool, dry area.

The Psychological Causes behind Facial Itch

There are quite a few examples of traits of the person who has psychological cause of facial itch. It could range from the truth of spoken words to rubbing of the nose skin. It may also be sometimes related to nervously touching face all over again amd again.

Home remedy for Facial Rashes

  • Add Calcium Gluconate 1 tsp quantity in one cup of water.
  • Now soak a hand towel in this water
  • Flat it out on your rash

Oatmeal can also be used to reduce the rashes on face.

  • Cook one cup of oatmeal
  • After cooling, apply to the rashes on the face. You will get instant relief.
  • Avoid touching the rash again and again since it may cause skin irritation.
  • If you accidently touch your face, wash your hands immediately using a proper anti-bacterial soap.

Aloe Vera gel also comes as handy in cases of irritating skin and it helps soothening the skin. Use aloe vera gel for overnight to get best results.

Facial Rashes due to sun exposure

Sun can burn your skin badly and can cause severe rashes even if you are skiiing in cold weather or you are sunbathing in a summer beach. Take precaution by avoiding direct sun exposure during first half of the day till 3:00 PM. Whenever you go out in sun, apply some nice protective creams or lotions. Select the one which has high sun-protective factor. Another way is to wear sun protective hats and sun prtection gears.
