Common fashion mistakes
Fashion mistakes happen. But with careful attention to details and with knowing what looks good on you, they do not have to happen at all. Here are few of the tips to avoid the most common fashion mistakes.
Shoes are one of the most evaluated elements of men's wardrobes. Your shoes should be clean, shined, in good repair and appropriate for the occasion. If you are wearing a suit, wear lace-up shoes.
A common fashion mistake is using too many colors.
Do not wear too many fabrics. Use only the appropriate fabrics with each dressing style. Do not mix and wear dresses.
If you are a plus size person, stick to the plus sizes and quit squeezing yourself into clothes that do not give you room to move. Sure it may look okay while you are standing up, but when you sit down, accidents can happen. An unwanted bulge may show – or worse, a button or a seam could pop.
How To Avoid Common Fashion Mistakes?
Trousers should be long enough to cover your socks, and socks should cover your shins even when you cross you legs. Pants are long enough if they have a slight break in the front.
Use the right styling product for your hair-type. If you have fine hair and you are trying to avoid the flat look, then why do you apply heavy gel which only serve to had weight? Gel is best used thinly at the roots to lift the hair, then comb it outward to reduce frizzy hair and to give you a wet look. Always hold the can of hairspray at least a foot from your head and use momentary spritzes to once more "encourage" results, rather than to drench and cause build-ups. If the product does not seem to be working, maybe your chosen style isn't suitable for you.
Keep in mind your figure and age and only wear items you look good in and not just something because it looks great on someone else.
Fingernails should be properly filed and kept at a decent length. If you polish your nails, take the time to repair the chipped paint or do them over as soon as possible when you get home. Use sedate colors on your nails for going to work on weekdays; bright and funky colors should be left for the weekends.
Don’t wear a skirt or dress that is too short.
A common mistake that many people commit though is wearing too much of them. Keep accessories to a minimum. Button or hoop earrings are acceptable for a daytime look. For an evening, make one piece, e.g. chandelier earrings or embellished purse, a key element and keep the rest of accessories neutral.
