Hairstyles Tips - At the hairdresser's
The first step is finding someone you get on with. You need to feel you can communicate freely with your hairdresser.
- Visit the salon: check out the age, style and hairdos of the clients and the staff. Does what you want fit in with their approach and image?
- Take a picture with you: this can work well so long as what you aspire to is realistic for your hair length and texture. Use pictures as your guide but make sure you ask the stylist to explain what elements of that look will work for you.
- Think about care and maintenance: Ask the stylist's advice on what products you will need to keep the style you are after in good shape. Then think about whether you are willing to blow-dry and use other products.
- Don't be bullied: Stick to your guns and keep your goal in mind. A sulky stylist is a bad stylist. And if they wash your hair before they have examined it and you have made your decision, leave-hair has to be seen dry if it is to be cut well.
