  • Rasta dreadlocks - This type of dreadlocks are broad, unexpected and disorderly hairstyle.
  • Regular dreadlocks - Regular dreadlocks hairstyle is shaped by twisting parts of hair in which every section is having identical thickness.
  • Sister dreadlocks - Sister dreadlocks are includes the micro braid dreadlocks. The tresses are so tiny which are imperceptible. This hairstyle is looks like unlocked hair.

How to create dreadlocks?

Formerly, dreadlocks can be formed by not combing, brushing or cutting, causing the locks to form thick ropes. Recent dreadlocks are more stylish and interesting. There are various popular method of creating dreadlocks hairstyle;

  • Wool Rubbing - It is natural method to creating dreadlocks in which using wool for rubbing. you can do this hairstyle yourself.
  • Dread Perming - Very popular way of creating dreadlocks is dread perming method. This is one type of chemical process which is right way for dreadlocks hairstyle. But this process is very luxurious and costly.
  • Twisting - Twisting is the time-consuming method of creating dreadlocks but this is a natural method to form dreadlocks. In this method hair segmented into squares and twisted with the help of wax until dreads lock turn into permanent.
  • Back combing - In this method is consisting dreadlocks are formed by dividing hair in section and then combed from the tip to the root for creating group of roots.
  • Dread Braiding - Dread braiding may be one of the best and comfortable dreadlocks hairstyle. In which parted your hair and rubber band is used for hold it.

Tips for dreadlocks

  • Generally, washing is not required for dreadlocks that is considering some people but, this is wrong. Dreadlocks is washing with soap.
  • You can used rubber band for dreadlocks hairstyle to avoid loose locks.
  • Dreadlocks should be cleaned at least 2 to 3 days.
  • Hair wax is used for protecting your dreadlocks.
