Henna is one of the best natural conditioners. It is an extremely versatile product and benefits all hair types. Henna is also a very effective cleanser and unlike detergents, does not destroy the normal acid-alkaline balance of the scalp. In fact, it can help to restore the balance.

Henna, of course, is known for its ability to colour the hair, bUl
its conditioning effect is just as beneficial. Henna applications add
beauty, body and bounce to the hair. The hair becomes supple, shiny and easy to manage. It also helps to maintain the health of the scalp.
Henna has the ability of coating each hair shaft. This makes the hair stronger and lends it thicker.

For conditioning the hair - mix henna powder into a paste with 200gms yoghurt, two eggs and the juice of a lemon. Two teaspoons of cof
fear kaththa (catechu) can also be added to give the hair a rich brown
colour. The paste should be applied evenly all over the head, by divided the hair into secti.ons. Apply the paste on each section with a wide brush. Coil the section around the head. Repeat thIS till you have
applied henna on each section. Leave it on for half-an-hour.
