Best Hot Tubs
A hot tub is an open-topped tank filled with circulated, filtered and chemically treated water. If exercise and therapy will be the focus, consider a hot tub with depth and room for movement. If the hot tub will be used recreationally, choose a model with four or more seats.
A hot tub is a large home-made or manufactured tub or small pool full of heated water and used for soaking, relaxation, massage, or hydrotherapy.
There are two different styles of hot tubs:
- Simple wooden-staved soaking tubs
- One piece plastic tubs (usually referred to as "spas")
Health benefits of hot tubs
Hot tubs from 10-years ago are now considered dated, especially with the technological advances of spa jets and the knowledge that hydrotherapy can help diseases like arthritis and type-2 diabetes. Spas are also purported to help with weightloss and the eradication of cellulite.
The hot tub buyer's checklist
Some key considerations in selecting your new Hot Tub.
* Is it the proper size for my needs?
* Is it in my price range?
* Does the color please me?
* Will my dealer provide the installation and service assistance I need?
* Does it have sufficient insulation?
* Does the Hot Tub come with a warranty or a guarantee?
* Is the jetting laid out with consideration of my real needs?
* Am I really comfortable when I sit in it?
* Does it include a child-proof safety cover?
In addition to quick and easy water testing before each use, hot tub manufacturers recommend using sanitizing or chlorine tablets once a week.
