How to get rid of dye transfer

Dye transfer is caused by unstable colors bleed from one fabric to another. The dye transfers are expensive. This will contain few images on the material. There are some special technicians are present for the dye transfer. The technicians can spot dye the material where it is discolored. To get rid from dye transfer is sometimes easy otherwise it can remove from the professional cleaner. There are various types of products are available in the market and some home remedies are also useful for the dye transfer.

Steps for the dye transfer

  • Mix equal parts water, ammonia, and dish detergent in a spray bottle. Spray it on the stain and clean the area using rapid strokes with a soft tooth brush.
  • Try a little rubbing alcohol and dab the stain. Let it dry for 10-15 minutes then rub with a dry cloth.
  • The Maxi Cleaner is used for the dye transfer.
  • Take prevention before the dye transfer.
  • The quick drying prevents any of the dye stains deeper down from wicking up of the surface.
  • The sugar and water you have a semi-permanent glucose transfer stain.
  • The backing soda is very effective on the dye transfer.
  • Laundry stain removal has a good practice for any type of dye transfer.
  • For colored clothing use a mixture of color-safe oxygen bleach (1 teaspoon) , and hydrogen peroxide (1 cup) to sponge the stained areas before rinsing thoroughly and rewashing.
  • Dye Transfer Paper by Carl - By using a sheet of the Dye Transfer Paper and iron, you can transfer dye on to polyester fabric.
